Jake Hutton

Jake was born and reared in Hesperia, California with his sister Ashten. He started riding horses at an early age and competed in local competitions with his horse Stomie. Once he outgrew Stormie he decided to switch directions and work with cars. He has competed in several Vocational Industrial Clubs of America (VICA) competitions where they compete in many variations of vehicle repairs.

In 2005, he and his family moved to Colorado where he finished his senior year of high school. After school, he went on to travel a bit and found himself hauling horses all over the United States. Jake has been a jack of all trades from construction to welding to building commercial cell phone towers. With all his many talents he is pretty universal at the ranch.

Since then he has become a certified diesel mechanic and works his hand on all the heavy equipment and pickups here at the ranch. Not only is he handy with a wrench, but he also helps out with many of the local ranchers with their annual brandings. He is no stranger to the saddle or a hot iron. Although he doesn’t spend a whole lot of time in the training end of the horses, he loves to help exercise and helps with those rowdy ones every now and again. Jake also volunteers for the local saddle club where he helps out at the annual rodeo in the rough stock events.
